No matter where you are in your relationship -- in the euphoric stages of a new love, in the comfort of a safe, long-lasting relationship, or in the troubled waters of a complicated partnership --this two-day workshop focuses on solving communication problems in relationships, sheds new light on relationship problems you may be experiencing and ultimately allows you to reconnect with your partner on levels you never experienced before.
The Couples Retreat is based on the principles of Imago relationship therapy, which combines psychological theory with practical tools you can use everyday to improve your relationship. You will gain an understanding of the underlying forces that drew you to your partner in the first place, and recognize the opportunity for learning and personal growth that your relationship provides. Throughout the weekend, you will be introduced to exercises that help you identify your personal wounds, the motivating factors behind your own behavior. You will practice techniques taken from couples' communication therapy and participate in exercises designed for building trust in your relationship. By the end of your weekend experience, not only will you find an entirely new way to view love and marriage, you will have learned proven methods for repairing the rifts you may now be experiencing within your relationship.
